Texas Public Radio

At Texas Public Radio I served as the Events and Theater Director, overseeing all aspects of the newly built black box theater & studio and events. I closely collaborated with all departments to recommend, develop, and plan programming that bolstered our collective strategies, values, and outreach objectives.

Together with TPR's executive leadership, other TPR departments, and partnering organizations, I played an active role in the ideation, brainstorming, and ultimately, overseeing the production of several video based programs. For example, working in collaboration with City of San Antonio Office of Historic Preservation, I co-developed a web series dedicated to telling short stories about important local landmarks that didn’t quite meet the requirements for a formal designation from the State.

Representing TPR, I acted as a community ambassador, leading meetings with community leaders, organizing panel discussions, and being present at outreach events to network on behalf of the station.

TPR Music

As the Events & Theater Director, I also identified both touring and local programs and events and liaised with promoters and artists to partner in events that were a good fit and held the potential to connect with our audience. I led and established TPR event space usage policies, determine appropriate fees, and marketed our event spaces to prospective donors, underwriters, and community partners.
